Five Random Facts for Wednesday

Here are some random facts for you.

1.  In 1935, the cosmetics company Lancôme was named after the ruins of a castle, Le Château de Lancosme, that the founder visited while on vacation in the French countryside.  His inspiration for the logo, a rose, was all the wild roses growing around the castle.

2.  Almost every airline requires their pilot and copilot to eat different meals, in case there’s something wrong with the food.

3.  Eating ice cream actually makes your body temperature HOTTER, not colder.  It’s because of the fat content.

4.  The foreign country the U.S. imports the most oil from is Canada.  And believe it or not, we get the second-most from Mexico.

5.  95-year-old Warren Buffett still lives in the same house in Omaha, Nebraska that he bought in 1958, for $31,500.  Today, considering the price per-square-foot and inflation, it’s worth around $1.4 million, but he’s worth $140 BILLION.
