Billie Eilish really started something at the Grammys when she said, “No one is illegal on stolen land.”

Some people applauded her, some called her a hypocrite, and at least one Native American tribe just wishes they got a shout-out.

The Tongva tribe is the ancestral owner of the land that Billie’s multimillion-dollar mansion is built on.

And a representative says, “We do value the instance when public figures provide visibility to the true history of this country.”

Then went on to say, “[But] it is our hope that in future discussions, the tribe can explicitly be referenced to ensure the public understands that the greater Los Angeles Basin remains Tongva territory.”
