It feels like just yesterday someone was telling you about how they use ChatGPT or A.I., and you had NO IDEA what they were talking about.
But now, according to a new report, over 60% of American adults used a dedicated A.I. platform last year.
And among Gen Z and other heavy users, more than 33% admit they go to A.I. FIRST when starting personal tasks. This can be everything from planning a trip, researching products to buy, strategizing a repair, or writing a résumé.
These are people who are voluntarily working with A.I. But pretty much EVERYONE has interacted with A.I. in one way or another, like seeing it embedded in online searches, mobile apps, and customer service bots.
People may be embracing A.I. on some levels, but it’s also having an anti-technology effect.
Analog lifestyles, also called “grandma hobbies“, have been trending.
Things like: Writing handwritten letters, handmade crafts like watercolors and origami, “old” hobbies like knitting and film photography, and listening to music on vinyl.
One last thing: If you ARE a fan of ChatGPT, you can probably expect your experience to be more annoying in the future.
OpenAI has announced that some versions of ChatGPT will soon come with advertisements, especially the free and cheaper tiers.
But OpenAI claims the answers its chatbot provides will not be influenced by advertisers. (Oh, of course not! That would be unethical!)
