Five Random Facts for Wednesday

Here are some random facts for you.

1.  The space between your eyebrows is the “glabella.”  That comes from the Latin terms for “smooth” and “hairless.”  (So it wasn’t named by someone with a UNIBROW.)

2.  December 31st, 2017 was the only day in history where every adult was born in the 1900s and every minor was born in the 2000s.

3.  It takes between seven and 14 days to make one jelly bean.

4.  If the Statue of Liberty was melted down and the copper and steel were sold for scrap, it would only be worth around $225,000 to $250,000, depending on how the materials are graded. That doesn’t seem like much, considering it reportedly cost $16,000 in copper alone when it was built back in 1876.

5.  Eleanor Roosevelt was Teddy Roosevelt’s niece.  Franklin D. Roosevelt was Teddy’s fifth cousin.  So when FDR married Eleanor, they were both part of the same family tree, they were fifth cousins, once removed.
