I hope this thief is NEVER able to burn off these calories.
A woman in Colorado went to a local farm stand, and started clearing out the shelves, filling a large bag with freshly made oatmeal cream pies, along with some organic sourdough bread.
The farm stall had a camera inside, so there’s footage of the theft. In fact, the woman is even heard saying, “Thanks!” before she walks away, without paying.
The small business owner said she didn’t know what to do, until the woman came back a few weeks later.
The owner confronted her, and said, “I have a tab for you from a couple weeks ago.” She asked how she wanted to pay. The woman patted down her pockets, and said she needed to go back to her car to get her phone.
She dropped her shopping bag, and the owner filmed her, so she could get her license plate. She then passed that along to the police, who have ID’d her.
The police say she was “charged accordingly,” but there aren’t further details.
(Here’s an UNCENSORED video from the owner explaining what happened, and here’s footage of the theft.)
@goneastraygoods Please share along the Front Range — Loveland, Fort Collins, Berthoud, Longmont, Boulder, Lyons, and surrounding areas. This woman was caught on surveillance stealing from my stand. We already have identifying information on her, but I’m hoping to connect with other businesses — large or small — who may have experienced similar theft involving the same person. At this point, I’m trying to determine whether this is part of a larger pattern and build an aggregate case if applicable. If you recognize her or have relevant information/video footage, please message me directly. Small businesses talk, and theft impacts all of us. Please share. #colorado #farmstand
