Flying can already be stressful enough. So, a former flight attendant just revealed the top things travelers should avoid doing on a plane if they want a smoother trip.
Here are six of the biggest mistakes you can make on a flight:
1. Walking around barefoot. Those cabin floors are dirtier than you think.
2. Drinking too much alcohol. It hits harder in the air, and for longer flights, it can make jet lag way worse.
3. Forgetting to hydrate. Plane cabins are super dry, so water is your best friend.
4. Dressing without layers. One minute you’re freezing, the next you’re sweating.
5. Eating gassy foods or drinking soda before flying. Cabin pressure can make that experience pretty painful.
6. Trying sleep aids for the first time on a flight. You might want to experiment with those for the first time at home.
(You can check out the rest of the list here. A lot of her suggestions were for international flights, but most of the same applies for domestic.)
