Every State’s Favorite Easter Candy, Including the Pez-Loving Americans

Sunday is Easter, which means it’s not a bad idea to add a DENTIST to the list of emergency numbers on your fridge.

A research company crunched some data on Easter candy, and they say that Michigan is the state that’s the “most enthusiastic” about Easter treats.  And it might be contagious, because the rest of the Midwest is in on it.

Pennsylvania is the second-most into Easter candy, followed by Ohio, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Illinois, North Carolina, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Minnesota.

Wyoming is the least excited about Easter candy.  Hawaii is the second-least interested, followed by Washington, D.C., Montana, Alaska, South Dakota, Vermont, North Dakota, New Mexico, and Rhode Island.

Recently, we heard that Peeps are popular in the Midwest, and this research company backs that up. Nevada is also a fan of the Peeps too.

They have a list of the most popular Easter candy in every state, and Peeps is number one in 17 states, including Pennsylvania, Indiana, and most of the middle of America, like both Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

Nine states have Jelly Beans at the top, either Starburst Jelly Beans or Jelly Belly.  They include Minnesota, Colorado, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Some coastal states prefer fish, Swedish Fish.  They include:  Oregon, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Nationwide, “Jordan Almonds” sit near the BOTTOM of the rankings, but somehow they made it to #1 in a few of the biggest states, including California, Texas, Ohio, Florida, Michigan, and Virginia.  (???)

Reese’s Eggs are #1 in Washington, Utah, Illinois, and Louisiana, Whoppers are big in Missouri, Arkansas, and Kentucky, Easter M&Ms are the top option in Tennessee, Cadbury Mini Eggs are popular in Maine and Massachusetts, and Pez, of all things, is still a sensation in Delaware.
