Earlier this month we heard about Snake Yoga being a new trend. Well apparently, that wasn’t dangerous enough.
Now introducing: Sword Yoga.
The workout mixes yoga, tai chi, and kung fu style movements. You know, just flowing through poses, while you’re HOLDING A SWORD. No big deal.
Here’s what one lady had to say about it, “It’s a tool of self-expression and freedom. When I hold [the sword], I feel like a force of femininity, beauty and strength.”
They say classes can burn up to 500 calories and build strength and confidence. It also looks quite intimidating. If that’s what you’re going for.
(You can watch videos of people doing sword yoga here, and here.)
