After slaying top 40 radio with “Golden,” HUNTR/X adds its second entry on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart (dated Jan. 24) as “How It’s Done” debuts at No. 40.

Republic is now officially promoting “How It’s Done” to pop radio.

The song enters Pop Airplay with a 31% increase in plays week-over-week (Jan. 9-15), according to Luminate (with stations on the chart’s reporting panel monitored by Mediabase). Early supporters of the track include iHeartMedia-owned KIIS Los Angeles, Audacy’s WBBM-FM Chicago and Cox Media Group’s WBLI Nassau-Suffolk, N.Y.

iHeartMedia vp of pop programming Mark Adams became a fan of KPop Demon Hunters a day after the movie’s June 20, 2025, release on Netflix. “My algorithm knows me well,” he told Billboard when “Golden” crowned Pop Airplay. “I watched it that Saturday morning and just kind of immediately got it. I thought the animation was terrific. I thought the music was extraordinarily catchy.”

“Golden” topped Pop Airplay for three weeks beginning in November and the all-format Radio Songs chart for a week earlier in January. It has totaled eight weeks at No. 1 on the multimetric Billboard Hot 100, from mid-August through mid-October; 18 weeks atop the Billboard Global 200; and a record 20 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.

Both “Golden” and “How It’s Done” are by the singing trio of EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, in the roles of heroines Rumi, Mira and Zoey from Netflix’s record-hauling animated film KPop Demon Hunters. The movie’s soundtrack, on Visva/Republic, ruled the Billboard 200 for two weeks and has spent its first 30 weeks and counting in the top 10. It has led the Soundtracks chart for 28 frames.

“How It’s Done” is the first full song heard in KPop Demon Hunters, introducing HUNTR/X’s triumphant talents, musical and beyond. It hit No. 8 on the Hot 100 in September, marking one of four top 10s on the chart from the film’s soundtrack, the most from any soundtrack in nearly 30 years.
