1. Major League Baseball had ZERO no-hitters in the 2025 regular season. It’s been 20 years, since 2005, when there was another season without a no-hitter. Before that, the previous year without a no-hitter was 1989.
Generally, no-hitters have become MORE common in the past 25 years, when MLB has averaged 3.1 no-hitters per season.
2. In four of the five movies nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 2011 Oscars, a character lost an arm: “127 Hours”, “Toy Story 3”, “True Grit”, and “Winter’s Bone”. The fifth movie was “The Social Network”, where no one lost an arm, and it won the Oscar. Maybe there’s a lesson there?
3. It didn’t become legal to breastfeed in public in every state until 2018, when Utah and Idaho finally passed laws to allow it.
4. Less than half of the cultures in the world kiss.
5. Dancing was banned at Baylor University in Texas until 1996.
