With Disney adults and Pokémon nuts, there’s not much that’s “just for kids” anymore. But what’s something that maybe SHOULD be?
Someone polled over 2,000 Americans, and asked about dozens of “kid things.” Here are the Top 10 things we think are ‘just for kids.’
1. Trick-or-treating. 81% agree it’s at least mostly for kids.
2. Dolls.
3. Bumper bowling.
4. Stuffed animals.
5. Coloring books.
6. Legos.
7. Dressing up in costumes. 14%, or one in seven people, think adults shouldn’t be dressing up for Halloween at all.
8. Harry Potter.
9. Disney movies.
10. Trading cards. So, Pokémon cards. Or baseball cards if you’re old-school.
At the other end of the list, here are a few “kid” things people think are really for kids AND adults: Eating ice cream, 87% said both, arts and crafts, 75%, board games, 74%, recreational sports, 73%, saying you have a “best friend,” 71%, and ketchup on hot dogs, 70%.
78% of people polled said they miss being a kid, at least a little. One in five miss it a lot.
