Lady Gaga has released a new song “The Dead Dance,” alongside a music video directed by Tim Burton.

The new track is featured in the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday, with Gaga making a guest star turn on the series as the character Rosaline Rotwood. The singer appears in the second half of the show’s current season, which premieres Wednesday, (September 3rd). Her participation in the show was revealed late last year.

“The Dead Dance” also arrives with a music video helmed by Wednesday director and producer Tim Burton; it’s Burton’s first time helming a music video since directing the visual for The Killers’ 2012 song “Here With Me.” Right from the opening, the video has creepy dolls galore. One such creepy doll is Gaga herself, who comes to life and begins spasming until the first chorus, where she’s joined by backup dancers. The video starts in black and white, but shifts to color temporarily at the final third of the song. Watch the video below.

Lady Gaga co-wrote and produced “The Dead Dance” alongside regular collaborators Andrew Watt and Cirkut; the song features a disco style while also blending the dark pop found in her recent album, Mayhem. She initially previewed the single’s imminent release on Instagram, posting the single’s cover art, along with the time the tune will officially arrive in cities around the world. See the post below.

She also made a surprise appearance during Netflix’s “Graveyard Gala,” a special event at New York City’s Guastavino’s for 300 fans, influencers, and press in celebration of Wednesday Season 2 kicking off Part 2. With cast members Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday in attendance, the event featured coffin listening booths that allowed attendees to hear a preview snippet of “The Dead Dance.”

Gaga is currently on the homestretch of the North American leg of her current “The Mayhem Ball Tour,” with upcoming shows in Miami, New York City, and Toronto before wrapping up with a three-night stand in Chicago. See the dates below. The red-hot tour found none less than US politician Nancy Pelosi in the audience in San Francisco, with the Speaker Emerita calling it “the most fun I’ve had in a long time.”
