Everyone has been giving their kids the same old names for YEARS now, Olivia, Liam, Emma, Noah, so, let’s shake things up a little bit.
A woman shared a text online, where her older cousin told her she’s settled on a baby name for her girl, and it’s VASELINEA, like the petroleum jelly.
The woman sent back a photo of Vaseline, and asked, “Like this thing?” And the mother said, “Yesss, [but] I wanted that ‘nia’ sound at the end.” (???)
Which actually makes it more funny. Rather than being Vaselina, which might not exclusively conjure Vaseline vibes, it is actually “Vaselinea.”
And she said it’s pronounced “vah-suh-lee-nia.”
The mother’s fallback name was apparently “Serena,” but she said Vaselinea, “sounds more elegant.” (I’m sure the other kids at this poor girl’s future high school will agree!)
If she wanted a “nia” sound, how about . . . Sonia?
