Five Random Facts for Wednesday

Here are some random facts for you.

1.  Nintendo released the Game Boy in 1989, but the COMPANY Nintendo had been around since 1889, when it produced Japanese playing cards.

2.  Three of the first five countries to send someone to space are no longer countries:  The USSR, Czechoslovakia, and East Germany.  (The other two are the U.S. and Poland.)

3.  Freddie Mercury signed off on the “Wayne’s World” scene where the guys sing along to “Bohemian Rhapsody” while he was on his deathbed.  Freddie loved it and approved it.

4.  The next time there will be a full moon on Friday the 13th is in August of 2049.

5.  Gatorade created an alcoholic mix of their lemon-lime flavor and beer called Hop’n Gator in 1969, but they quickly pulled it off the market when it tanked.
