Here are a few things to look forward to in July.
1. Amazon Prime Day is next week. It’s FOUR days this time, running from July 8th through the 11th.
2. In sports: Wimbledon is underway, the Tour de France starts this weekend, the MLB All-Star Game is July 15th, golf’s Open Championship starts the 17th, and the WNBA All-Star Game is July 19th.
3. Lots of big movies this month: “Jurassic World Rebirth” opens tomorrow, James Gunn’s “Superman” reboot lands the 11th, a new “I Know What You Did Last Summer” opens the 18th, “Fantastic Four: First Steps” hits theaters July 25th, and “Happy Gilmore 2” hits Netflix the same day.
4. On TV: New seasons of “South Park” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” start next Wednesday, the new spinoff “Dexter: Resurrection” premieres the 11th, the ESPY Awards are the 16th, and Shark Week starts July 20th.
5. And finally, the holidays: The big one is the Fourth of July, but we’ve also got National Bikini Day this Saturday, National Fried Chicken Day on Sunday, World Chocolate Day on the 7th, National French Fry Day and National Mojito Day on the 11th, and Ice Cream Day is July 20th.
