Five Random Facts for Monday

Here are some random facts for you.

1.  Rats can laugh, we just can’t hear it because it’s not in our audible range.  (Here’s a video that gives you an idea of what a rat laugh is like.)

 

2.  Bill Lear, the guy who invented Lear Jets, also invented the eight-track tape player.  But more importantly, one of his daughters was named Shanda.  Shanda Lear.

3.  The 1956 Summer Olympics were held in Melbourne, Australia and Stockholm, Sweden.  Stockholm was chosen to hold equestrian events because horses couldn’t be brought into Australia under quarantine regulations.

4.  A large part of Antarctica was covered in rainforest approximately 90 million years ago.

5.  All human beings have 99.9% of the same DNA.
