“WEIRD AL” YANKOVIC created a cheese-themed crossword puzzle for the “New York Times”. And it’s pretty amusing. He didn’t do it alone . . . he worked with a couple of guys who have done a lot of them, but it clearly has Weird Al’s stamp on it. Here are some of the clues:
1. “Cheesy 1992 Military Drama?” 12 Letters.
The answer is: “A Few Gouda Men”
2. “Cheesy 1987 Thriller?” 14 Letters.
The answer is: “Feta Attraction”
3. “Cheesy 2001 Animated Film?” 12 Letters.
The answer is: “Muensters Inc.”
Weird Al’s co-writer says they kept it to specific cheeses, so some of his puns . . . “Quesoblanca”, “Fondue The Right Thing”, and “Cheesy Rider” didn’t end up making the cut.
