Sundays blow by REALLY fast these days, especially if you spend HOURS watching football and not getting anything else done. (Or, if this ISN’T you, maybe you know someone who fits this description.)
A new poll asked Americans what they wish they had MORE TIME FOR on Sundays, and the most popular response was SLEEPING. 31% of people said that. (And really, that could go for EVERY day of the week.)
Here are the other top answers:
2. Watching TV . . . 19%
3. Watching movies . . . 17%
4. Visiting loved ones . . . 17%
5. Mentally preparing for the week . . . 12%
6. Reading . . . 12%
7. Going for a walk . . . 12%
8. Talking to loved ones on the phone . . . 11%
9. Doing a DIY project . . . 10%. (Everyone has a project that they save for Sundays when they “have more time” to figure it out, and it’s been in the pipeline for five, 10, or 100 weeks now.)
10. Yardwork . . . 10%.
Less popular responses include: Cleaning . . . cooking . . . meditating . . . and exercising.
The poll also found that the average person experiences the so-called “Sunday Scaries” 36 times a year, and that it usually sets in at 3:54 P.M.
That’s the feeling of anxiety or dread over what you’re expecting to have to deal with during the upcoming week.
