This sounds like the worst possible outcome for breast implants.
Stephanie Brigham of Phoenix, Arizona got breast implants in April of last year. And on the way home, she swung by a Walmart and bought three sets of Heatmax Hothands hand warmers.
Those are the little, disposable hand warmers . . . and she wanted to use them on her chest to relieve the pain on her implant surgery. She cracked the warmers open and put them in her bra.
A few days later, she realized the pain wasn't going down . . . in fact, the pain was way WORSE. Because the hand warmers had burned HOLES in her breasts . . . two holes in each breast. There's no word on if or how doctors fixed the holes and scars.
Now she's filed a lawsuit against Walmart and Heatmax. She's claiming their hand warmers generate too much heat . . . but Heatmax says the hand warmers have warnings on them telling people not to put them directly on skin.
She's suing for an undisclosed amount for negligent design, negligent instruction, and liability.
