A Salvation Army Bell Ringer Is Assaulted For Saying "Happy Holidays" Instead of "Merry Christmas"

You may have heard of the "war on Christmas."  It may or may not exist, but we certainly don't need actual BATTLES over it.

Kristina Vindiola works as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, and last week, she was outside a Walmart in Phoenix.

As a woman walked past, Kristina said, "Happy Holidays."  And the woman looked at her, walked up, said, quote, "Do you believe in God?  You're supposed to say 'Merry Christmas.'"  Then PUNCHED Kristina and went into the Walmart.

Kristina called the cops, and they looked at surveillance video, but they didn't have enough evidence to arrest the woman.  Kristina says she still plans to take legal action though.

Salvation Army doesn't have a policy on whether their bell ringers should say "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays."
