Mountain Dew is Rolling Out a Breakfast Energy Drink
2/12/2013

No one does disgusting drinks quite like Mountain Dew. Last year, Taco Bell started selling a breakfast drink that was a combination of Mountain Dew and orange juice. And now, Mountain Dew is messing around with juice and breakfast too. This month, Mountain Dew is rolling out a new drink called Kickstart. It's a mix of Mountain Dew and either orange juice or fruit punch in a 16-ounce can. And of course, it's caffeinated.
But they PROMISE it's not an energy drink. They want you to think of it as juice, not Red Bull. It DOES have less caffeine than an energy drink, and because it has 5% juice, it's legally classified as a juice. A can of Kickstart is 80 calories and has 92 milligrams of caffeine. The same amount of Mountain Dew has 72 milligrams, Red Bull has 160 milligrams, and Starbucks coffee has 330 milligrams.
Kickstart should be in stores everywhere in the country by the 25th.
