This might be the strangest story we've ever heard about someone hiring a hitman.  And the only time a hitman successfully brought a family together.  There's a guy in China who's only been identified as 'Feng.'  And he has a 23-year-old son named Xiao.  And the kid was OBSESSED with playing online role playing video games like "World of Warcraft".   He couldn't even hold a job because of his gaming obsession. 

So Feng decided to take action, and hired a hitman, to KILL his son's ONLINE GAMING CHARACTER.  Seriously.   He tracked down guys who were better and more advanced at the game than Xiao, and paid them to kill Xiao every time he logged on.

Apparently, it worked enough to get Xiao discouraged about playing.  He asked the players why they kept targeting him, and eventually they told him that his father had hired them.  After that, Xiao confronted his dad, and they ended up having an honest dialogue about Xiao's future plans and career outlook.  It's not clear if it totally killed Xiao's online gaming addiction, but still, not bad.
