More Airline Passengers Are Faking Handicaps, So They Can Take a Wheelchair to the Front of the Security Line?
10/5/2012

Just in case you didn't fully appreciate how miserable it is to fly these days, flight attendants are complaining about a new trick people are using at airport security. More passengers are PRETENDING to be handicapped, so they can take a wheelchair to the front of the security line.
It's kind of tough for airport employees to accuse a passenger of LYING about their disability, but they have their reasons to suspect it. Wheelchair requests seem to go up whenever the lines at airport security are long, and some crowded flights can have a DOZEN passengers in wheelchairs waiting to board the plane.
Flight attendants even call some flights, "miracle flights", because so many passengers need a wheelchair at departure when they're impatient with security and hurrying to get ON a plane . . . But somehow they're 'cured' midair and can suddenly WALK off the plane under their own power when they land, instead of waiting for the chair and getting off last.
