Reno’s inaugural restaurant week event,
, will celebrate locally-owned restaurants and their cuisine with seven days of deals and events. From food trucks to fine dining, more than a dozen eateries throughout Reno will offer prix fixe menus, signature items and events to entice diners into a week of culinary exploration.
Taking place from Monday, October 22 through Sunday the 28 citywide, this weeklong foodie fest is the first of its kind in Reno, whose burgeoning culinary scene is packed with a diverse array of restaurateurs and chefs. Reno Bites was created to encourage food lovers to patronize the wide range of locally-owned dining establishments and support small businesses within their own community.
Event visionary and coordinator Clint Jolly states, "I see a strong community of restaurants in all of the great foodie cities that I visit. It's time we came together in Reno to show off our talented culinarians to the world. Great things will come from smart collaboration and joint efforts of local restaurants."
In addition to their regular menu items, participating restaurants will offer a signature item or meal, or a three-course prix fixe menu at a discounted price. A few will also feature a culinary event to further inspire gastronomic giddiness within diners.
, Bistro 7 serves up innovative American cuisine in South Reno. Their stylish dining room and killer patio offer just the right atmosphere for a private meal or a group of friends. Including wines from Napa valley and around the globe, the wine list is built to complement the menu to perfection.
, Burger Me has been a staple in Truckee for years. They recently expanded into Reno and brought their fresh cooked, hand formed, all natural patties with them. It’s a true burger lovers paradise offering bison, turkey and house made veggie burgers in addition to the fresh ground beef. Campo’s beloved Mark Estee is on the team so you know they’re serving the best!
, Campo opened late 2011 and took the city by storm. Their premium downtown location on the river and the exquisite Rustic Italian food that comes from the hands of Mark Estee and crew make for one of the best dining experiences in town.
, Composition Cafe is on the ground floor of our amazing Nevada Museum of Art. Chef BJ Mueller and crew serve up tasty burgers, sandwiches and salads everyday. Weekends feature a new weekly tapas menu featuring the best local ingredients they can find with an interesting theme to tie the menu together. It’s a great extension of the art upstairs as the back of the house crew creates an amazing array of delectable fare.
Gold ‘N Silver Inn
, The Gold and Silver Inn has been owned and operated by the same folks for over 20 years! They serve up classic Americana in their diner with great burgers, sandwiches, steaks, chops and more. They were also featured on Food Network’s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives for their Tri Tip Sandwich!
Gourmelt Grilled Cheese Truck
, Haley and Jesse opened Gourmelt to bring hot melted goodness to the streets of Reno. As one of our area’s pioneers in the gourmet food truck movement, they created Food Truck Fridays and a way to gather the best trucks in town in a family friendly and entertaining atmosphere. Their truck serves up fresh made grilled cheese sandwiches from classics to originals. They serve in a new spot every day so they can hit every corner of town.
Imperial Bar & Lounge
, Imperial is a prime gathering spot downtown. A huge selection of craft and mainstream beers, a great menu of contemporary pub food and a cool laid-back atmosphere make a winning combination. A focus on thin crust pizzas, wings, paninis and meats and cheeses all designed to be shared means you should bring a few friends with you for dinner.
Men Wielding Fire
, After years of catering to special events around the area, Men Wielding Fire opened their restaurant in downtown Reno. Slow smoking is the name of the game at MWF as they prepare everything from ribs to pastrami for their delicious menu.

Their international menu is presented in a familiar way with chef David Stern’s American style.
Un Caffé Italian Bistro
Executive Chef and Owner Cherí Rhodes saw a dream realized when Un Caffé Italian Bistro opened in South Reno in May. Un Caffé offers traditional Italian dinner fare five nights a week, featuring housemade signature dishes such as handmade pastas, creamy polenta, and Neapolitan style pizzas.
