Things to do in Reno!

Beary Couture Awareness Picnic

Rancharrah Event Center, 6001 Talbot Land, Reno
Saturday, September 8, 2012
11am to 6pm

It is estimated one in 70 women will develop Ovarian Cancer in her lifetime.  Not as prevalent as breast cancer, Ovarian Cancer is more deadly!  It is the fifth leading cause of cancer death in women, and has the highest mortality rate of all gynecological cancers.

The reason? The warning signs of Ovarian Cancer are vague and misunderstood.  The Beary Couture Foundation hopes to change that.  Founder Cynthia Kennedy, a Reno resident, is currently battling this deadly disease.  Upon diagnosis 2 years ago, Cynthia decided to make it her mission to bring awareness of Ovarian Cancer and its symptoms, especially  during the month of September, “Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.”
The "See Teal… Get Real" campaign kicks off with the Beary Couture Awareness Picnic at Rancharrah Elite Event Center 6001 Talbot Ln Reno, NV on Saturday September 8 from 11am to 6pm.

Food, Wine, Beer, Live Music, Bounce Houses, Face Painting, Balloon Twisters, Elite Crafters, Live Auction, Silent Auctions, and other vendors will be on hand. The public is encouraged to bring their families, Chairs, Blankets,  and enjoy a wonderful afternoon at a great venue for a very Important  Cause.
