The Who, one of Rock’s legendary and defining bands is coming to Reno Events Center on February 2, 2013 to perform their iconic 1973 double album Quardophenia in its entirety along with a selection of Who classics. Quadrophenia, the band’s second rock opera (after Tommy), raised the bar for rock albums as an art form and hit #2 on the U.S. Billboard album chart. Featuring classic hits like “The Real Me,” “5:15” and “Love Reign o’er Me.”
Founding members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will be joined by Zak Starley (drums), Pino Palladino (bass), Simon Townshend (guitar/backing vocals), Chris Stainton (keyboard), Loren Gold (keyboards/backing vocals) and Frank Simes (keyboard/backing vocals).
The Who is one of the most influential rock groups of the 1960s & ‘70s, making an impression on groups like Led Zeppelin to The Clash and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. Additionally, Townshend and Daltrey received Kennedy Center Honors at the 31st annual award; the first rock band to be so honored and The Who has had seven albums on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time among many other accolades.
