Carrie Underwood is the New Voice of "Sunday Night Football"
NBC wisely asked CARRIE UNDERWOOD to be the next smoking hot babe to sing the introduction to "Sunday Night Football", and she accepted. Carrie and her version of "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" will debut on the September 8th game between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants.
Carrie is the third person to sing the intro. PINK did it one year, back in 2006, and then FAITH HILL took over and held the spot for six years before announcing last month that someone else could, "rock the open."
It sounds like Carrie's pretty happy with the job. She said, "For me it just seemed like something fun to do. Especially seeing Faith get that hype. It seemed like a good fit and a good time. I am thrilled to be a part of NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' and am so honored they asked me. I have always loved football season, and it is so exciting to now become part of it every Sunday night!"
