Ever since the Boston Red Sox started playing NEIL DIAMOND'S "Sweet Caroline" at all their games, the song has been linked to Boston. And last week, it became a source of comfort for the city after the Boston Marathon Bombing.
So perhaps it's not surprising that the song's sales are up 597%. It sold 19,000 copies last week, which was up from 2,800 copies the week before. And Neil says he's donating the proceeds from the recent sales to the bombing victims.
Several baseball teams, including the rival New York Yankees, played "Sweet Caroline" at their games to pay tribute to Boston and show support for the victims of the attack. And Neil even sang it live at Boston's Fenway Park last weekend.
