Flavor Flav's Court Date on a Felony Assault Charge Was Postponed, So He Could Go to His Rock Hall Induction?
FLAVOR FLAV was supposed to be in court yesterday, to be arraigned on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon, and misdemeanor domestic battery. Flav was arrested back in October, after he allegedly attacked his fiancée and threatened her teenage son with a butcher knife.
But a judge agreed to postpone the court date until May 7th apparently, just so Flav could attend PUBLIC ENEMY'S induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last night.
It's unclear why the judge thought Flav deserved a break like that, especially for something as serious as felony assault and domestic battery. Not to mention the fact that Public Enemy probably shouldn't be in the Rock Hall in the first place.
Flav's lawyer says he acted in self-defense and will plead not guilty. Last week, the son said he started wrestling with Flav to stop him from fighting with his mom, and that's when Flav picked up the knife and chased him back to his room.
