Mariah Carey Says Nicki Minaj *Did* Threaten to Shoot Her
There was talk that NICKI MINAJ threatened to KILL MARIAH CAREY after their "situation" on the "American Idol" set on Tuesday, but a producer from the show denied it. However, Mariah believes she DID say it.
On "The View" yesterday, BARBARA WALTERS said that she talked to Mariah before the show taped, and Mariah told her that when Nicki walked off the set, "multiple people" heard her say "If I had a gun, I would shoot that [B-word]." Mariah said she was "very concerned." She doesn't actually think anything would happen, but she said, "Nicki is unpredictable, and I can't take a chance, so I've hired extra security."
Mariah said Nicki hasn't apologized, but they've been together since then in meetings, and after one, Nicki said, "I love you, but we might fight again," and Mariah responded, "No, we will not." Mariah added that she doesn't feel "comfortable emotionally", but says she'll continue with the show because she loves it. (And, she's under contract.)
You can see video here of Barbara telling this story and on "The View's" website. "Idol" may very well be LOVING this, perhaps this is even the MAIN REASON they brought Nicki onboard, but something tells me Mariah was hoping to have a smooth ride like JENNIFER LOPEZ did.
Nicki Minaj Is Now Ranting About Mariah Carey on Twitter
If MARIAH CAREY and NICKI MINAJ declared a truce after Nicki's blow-up on the "American Idol" set on Tuesday, that appears to be OVER. After Mariah accused Nicki of threatening her life in an interview with BARBARA WALTERS, Nicki ranted about her on Twitter, and denied threatening Mariah.
She said, "I don't call TMZ and Barbara Walters because I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave." She added, "I guess it hurts to have the producers tell you to your face that Nicki is the best judge we've had since SIMON [COWELL]. Awww, poor you. Keep them lies comin'."
She also Tweeted, "Hey, y'all. Let's just say Nicki said something about a gun. People will believe it 'cause she's a black rapper. LMAO. I'll then hit up Barbara and milk it. Ironically, no camera or mic heard the gun comment, not even the producers believed you. Say no to violence."
(Just in case this game is moving too fast for you, yes, that was Nicki throwing out the race card. Regardless, it sure looks like "Idol" is going to be all about the judges this season.)
