NICK JONAS confirmed speculation that "American Idol" is talking to him about being a judge next season.  (Last week, "Us" magazine reported that Nick and PHARRELL WILLIAMS were "frontrunners" to join the show.)

Nick Tweeted, "The rumors are true.  I am being considered to be a judge on 'American Idol', and it would be a dream come true if it happens.  #NickOnIdol."

He also re-Tweeted this from a female follower:  "OMG.  If @NickJonas becomes an 'American Idol' judge I will die of Jonas Brother fever! <3  #NickOnIdol  #NickJIsOffTheChain  #NickJSwagg ;)"  (Jonas Brother Fever is STILL ALIVE!!!)

(Nick is 19, a month younger than "X Factor" judge DEMI LOVATO.  When "Idol" first hit TV in 2002, Nick was NINE YEARS OLD, and no one had heard of the JONAS BROTHERS.)
