The Nurse at Kate Middleton's Hospital Who Was Pranked by Australian Radio DJs Committed Suicide
Last week, when KATE MIDDLETON was in the hospital with severe morning sickness, two Australian radio DJs decided to try to get a call through to her room. Mel Greig and Michael Christian from 2DayFM called the hospital, pretending to be QUEEN ELIZABETH and PRINCE CHARLES. A nurse named Jacintha Saldanha took the call, and forwarded it to one of Kate's nurses, who was apparently fooled by the DJs' really bad impersonations. The prank gained attention all over the world.
Well, on Friday Jacintha was found DEAD in her home. Authorities suspect SUICIDE, although they didn't say how she died.
A hospital administrator wrote a letter to 2DayFM saying how upset he was about the prank, and the palace issued a statement saying Kate and PRINCE WILLIAM were, "deeply saddened" by Jacintha's death.
The end result is that those DJs are no longer on the air. Although they have NOT been fired. The station issued a statement saying that Greig and Christian are, "deeply shocked" about what happened, and will, "not return to their radio show until further notice out of respect for what can only be described as a tragedy."
This was reportedly a joint decision by both the station and the jocks.

Meanwhile, Kate's condition deteriorated a little over the weekend, and William canceled an event yesterday to be with her. But doctors didn't think it was serious enough to re-admit her to the hospital.
Kate had been released initially on Thursday.
