Taylor Swift Easily Hit #1 With the Biggest Debut in Ten Years


TAYLOR SWIFT'S new album "Red" EASILY took the top spot on the "Billboard" chart this week, selling just over 1.2 million copies in its first week of release.  That's the biggest debut for any album in 10 YEARS.

It's the biggest debut since EMINEM'S disc "The Eminem Show" sold more than 1.3 million in its first week in 2002, and "Red" is also just the 18th album to sell a million copies in a single week since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.

KENDRICK LAMAR had to settle for the runner-up slot with a solid 241,000 copies of his major-label debut, "Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City".  Here's this week's full Top 10 . . .
