The Next "Bachelor" Is Just Another White, "Bachelorette" Reject

ABC has announced that the next "Bachelor" will be yet another white, "Bachelorette" reject.  It's Sean Lowe, the blond guy who was the second runner-up for EMILY MAYNARD'S love this summer.  The 17th season of "The Bachelor" will premiere in January.  (You can browse through a "sneak peek" gallery of the 24 women who will be, "vying for Sean's heart" on the show's site, here.)

Apparently, this means the producers were NOT interested in black sportscaster Lamar Hurd, who released an impressive audition video earlier this year, in an effort to become the show's first non-white "Bachelor", which you can see here.

Lamar did get a meeting with ABC, but apparently nothing came of it.  Ironically, two months ago, when a Twitter follower asked Lamar if he'd heard back he said,  "Naw, I know nothing . . .  [But] I think Sean from the 'Bachelorette's' past season would be a great selection though."
