This probably ISN'T true, but it's out there, so we might as well address it: 

KATIE HOLMES reportedly wants to change her 6-year-old daughter Suri's name.  Apparently, the name was a TOM CRUISE thing and she hates it.  Lately she's been calling her "Scout", after the character in the book "To Kill a Mockingbird".

She also wants to change Suri's last name to Holmes . . . but keep "Cruise" as her middle name.
