This Season's Official "Dancing with the Stars" Cast *Does* Include Andy Dick
ABC revealed the official cast of the 16th season of "Dancing with the Stars" on "Good Morning America" yesterday, and once again, it's pretty underwhelming. That's partially because most of the names had already been leaked, and partially because the definition of "stars" has been stretched even THINNER than ever before.
Still, they DID bring ANDY DICK onboard, so if he gets trashed, acts inappropriately with his partner, gets thrown out by security, pees in the parking lot, and gets beat up in a fight with someone outside the studio, that would be worth watching. Of course, that's just your TYPICAL Andy Dick freak-out, he's definitely been known to mix in an unpredictable, crazy wrinkle or two.
Here are this season's pairings:
Trainwreck actor and comedian Andy Dick, and first-time dancer Sharna Burgess. This is her debut season as a PARTNER, but she's been a member of the show's "dance troupe" for the past couple years.
Comedian D.L. Hughley and Cheryl Burke.
Country singer Wynonna Judd and Tony Dovolani.
Country singer (slash) one-time "American Idol" finalist Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough.
18-year-old Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas.
Old-school Olympic figure skater Dorothy Hamill and Tristan MacManus. Dorothy is 56 years old, FYI.
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff. (Unlike most of the people on "Dancing with the Stars", Jacoby's "stardom" hasn't been fading for the past decade. In fact, he really wasn't a "star" at all until the Super Bowl earlier this month, when he scored two HUGE touchdowns.)
Boxer Victor Ortiz and Lindsay Arnold, who was a finalist on the most recent season of "So You Think You Can Dance". This is her first time on the show.
"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb Savchenko. This is his first season on "Dancing with the Stars".
The Disney Channel's "Shake It Up" star Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy. Zendaya plays dancer Rocky Blue on the show. She's just 16 years old. For what it's worth, Val turns 27 next month.
"General Hospital" star Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson. Ingo has played "Jax" on "General Hospital" since 1996.
"Dancing with the Stars" premieres on Monday, March 18th.
