Charges Against Jon Bon Jovi's Daughter Have Been Dropped
Drug possession charges against JON BON JOVI'S 19-year-old daughter have been dropped because of something called the Good Samaritan 911 law. Stephanie Bongiovi overdosed on HEROIN in her dorm room at Hamilton College in Upstate New York on Wednesday. She and a 21-year-old male student were then charged with possession of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Under this law, though, anyone who overdoses, or who seeks help for an overdose victim, can't be prosecuted for having a small amount of heroin or ANY amount of marijuana. The law is supposed to reduce overdose deaths by encouraging people to call 911 without fear of being arrested.
Charges against Stephanie's 21-year-old friend were also dropped.
