Ariel Winter's Mom Speaks Out About Her Daughter Being Taken from Her Home
The mother of "Modern Family" actress ARIEL WINTER continues to deny that she abused her daughter. In fact, she says this all started because she tried to PROTECT her daughter.
Christina Workman issued a statement yesterday saying, "My 14-year-old daughter has been dating an 18-and-a-half-year-old man, and when I caught them engaging in behavior that I feel my daughter is too young mentally and physically to understand and fully grasp I put a stop to it immediately."
Christina added that she filed a police report, saying, "Because legally he is an adult and if he wants to engage in adult behavior with a minor, then he should also be ready to suffer adult consequences for his actions." Christina says she walked in on Ariel and her boyfriend IN BED in a guest room at their house in late September. But TMZ says Christina didn't file the police report until two weeks after the alleged incident, and five days AFTER she lost custody of Ariel to her other daughter. And there's no mention of this boyfriend in any of the court filings pertaining to Ariel's custody.
In a separate statement to E! Online, Christina says the daughter who took custody of Ariel, Shanelle Gray, had been estranged from the family, and only came back into the picture after she found out the kids on "Modern Family" got a raise. You can read everything she had to say here.
