Christina Hendricks Apparently Doesn't Like to Be Called "Full-Figured"
It's safe to say that CHRISTINA HENDRICKS uses her body to its fullest advantage. But apparently, she doesn't like to talk about it. And she especially doesn't like the phrase "FULL-FIGURED". Christina was in Sydney, Australia recently for a promotional event, and she sat down for a video interview with Kate Waterhouse, the fashion editor for a local newspaper.
Kate asked, "You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What is the most inspiring story that you can remember where you've inspired someone?" Christina kept her composure, but obviously didn't want to answer the question. She said, "I don't know." Christina's publicist, who was off-camera apparently told Kate to move on. It's not clear what the publicist said, but all Kate did was slightly re-word the question.
She said, "You've been known as an inspiration for women as being a full-figure . . ." And Christina, still smiling said, "I mean, you just said it again." At that point, the publicist interjected again, saying something about how Christina gets asked things like that all the time, and it's, "repetitive." That's when they moved off the subject completely.
And to Christina's credit, she completed the interview, and while there were some uncomfortable moments, she really kept her composure the whole time. Although the newspaper says there was a point when cameras were NOT rolling in which Christina said, "I think calling me full-figured is just rude."
While the whole "full-figured" debacle was probably supposed to be cut out of the interview, the paper did post it online. Check out the video here.
