STAR JONES made a fool of herself yesterday on the "Today" show, during a discussion about ANDERSON COOPER coming out of the closet.  She basically said he did it for the RATINGS.

She said, "He's a daytime talk show host and when the ratings slip in daytime, the hosts tend to tell you lots of things about them.   I remember Oprah said she smoked crack, Oprah said she was pregnant at 14 and considered suicide.  There [are] times that you generate information for ratings."

Then she quickly added, "Whoa!  I'm sorry that I said that!  I say bravo for him."  (Here's video.  Skip forward to the 3:30 mark.)
