Five Random Facts for Tuesday

Here are some random facts for you.

 

1.  Ryan Gosling gained 60 pounds to star in “The Lovely Bones”.  But when he showed up on set, it turns out Peter Jackson WASN’T picturing an overweight lead. So Gosling was fired and Mark Wahlberg was brought in.

 

2.  China has the most countries touching its border, with 14.  Russia is second, with 13.  And yes, they touch each other.

 

3.  Nine of the 15 biggest hotels in the world, based on the number of rooms, are on the Las Vegas Strip.

 

4.  Apple started putting the letter “i” before their products when Steve Jobs introduced the iMac in 1998.  And it stood for five things:  Internet, individual, instruct, inform, and inspire.

 

5.  The Grammy for Best New Artist in 1961 went to Bob Newhart, because his first comedy album “The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart” was so good.  It also won Album of the Year.  No other comedian has won either of those awards ever since.
