An animated movie about a girl who creates a theme park in her imagination as a way of coping with her mom’s sudden illness. Jennifer Garner plays her mom, Matthew Broderick plays her dad, and the relatively unknown Brianna Denski is their kid.
The animals who work at the park include John Oliver as a porcupine, Ken Jeong and Kenan Thompson as a pair of beavers, and Mila Kunis as a warthog.
Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson play hospital patients who fall in love while they’re both being treated for their cystic fibrosis. Unfortunately, that means they have to keep their distance from each other, so they don’t catch each other’s infections.
Ashton Sanders from “Moonlight” plays a kid from Chicago living in the aftermath of an alien invasion that got his father killed. And John Goodman is a cop who suspects him of working with a terrorist group that’s organizing to fight back against the aliens. It’s directed by Rupert Wyatt, the guy who did “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”.
